Iran’s exiled prince tells Europe to get off the fence and back the war
Reza Pahlavi, the exiled heir to Iran’s former royal line, is urging European leaders to move beyond cautious stances amid Iran’s ongoing unrest. In a POLITICO interview, he called for active support of regime change and backed his blueprint for achieving democratic rule in Iran.

Pahlavi argues that European governments should abandon neutrality and align with opposition forces to accelerate political transition. He emphasizes coordinated international pressure and recognition of opposition leadership as pivotal to democratic reform efforts.

He also outlined his plan for democratic governance in Iran, advocating a transition that ensures accountability, human rights protections, and a path to elections, while urging Western powers to back navigation of the post-regime period.
